And I was...It was just supposed to be a funny poem. And I wasn't even complaining. I was making light of the situation through humor. I definitely have complained about my situation before, but this post was not an example of me complaining. This post was me trying to make light of Mark getting NO sleep, having to miss church due to work, and switching from 8-4 to 12-12 to 6-7pm to 6-12 over the course of the last 5 days.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13558498724996805304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3574867308918454302.post-71102214211586263912009-11-14T21:03:09.541-06:002009-11-14T21:03:09.541-06:00"And the people complained in the hearing of ..."And the people complained in the hearing of the LORD about their misfortunes, and when the LORD heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the LORD burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp" (Num. 11:1)

For those who would suggest that complaining is a healthy and good thing I say, consider the Word of God. We should be very careful to grumble before the Lord, for such is always displeasing to Him. It is certainly true that we are all guilty of chronic complaining about something, but that certainly does not make it right.

Praise the Lord who gives and has given you your very life. Also, does He not create and control the weather? To despise a hurricane, avalanche, or summer down pour is just as if you despised the Lord. For those of us who are HIs, we should be thankful even for our sufferings (Rom. 5:3), for indeed they are for His glory.

I love you and your husband and we are always praying for you two. It is our desire to see you both grow and cherish the Lord more fully. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This is my blog, so I'll complain if I want to. Just because I chose to make a poem about my husband working annoying 12-hour shifts (and switching from 6am-4pm today with ZERO notice), it doesn't have anything to do with me "surviving" as an AF wife. Ridiculous. I know, I know -- I'm sure you've endured much worse, whoever you are. But if I want to make a funny poem about our flooding situation, I will :) It's the beauty of having a personal blog.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13558498724996805304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3574867308918454302.post-8953723851657385772009-11-14T10:00:29.976-06:002009-11-14T10:00:29.976-06:00hahaha geez i was just stating that if she cant ta...hahaha geez i was just stating that if she cant take this that shes not gonna survive being an AF wife for very long. she should cherish the time she has know and me happy its just a 12 hour shift her and there and a few weekends ever now and then. i love to read her blogs im not trying to be an ass. It just got to me a little when she was complaining about a few 12's and a few weekends. i dont hink she understands what is yet to come and how good she has it so far. thats all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3574867308918454302.post-37596257385588059962009-11-13T21:03:15.618-06:002009-11-13T21:03:15.618-06:00hehehe! Plus, we've basically lost our entire weekend, and I bet they make him go to work Monday as usual.. so he won't get a break at ALL. Not fair :[ I really miss him. He's upstairs sleeping right now..
