something you need to have.

Yesterday, we tooted off to Williamsburg because I got an "itch" to get new make-up. In my defense, my powder was just about empty, and my foundation is dwindling away. In the back of my mind, I'd been wanting to try the Bare Minerals make-up. So I decided to get it. On a whim. And I'm so glad I did.

I hate to use this word, but this stuff is AMAZING. It's *just* powder, so no liquid or anything. It sounds too good to be true, but it isn't. My face looks more natural and fresh than ever!

What's so magical about this stuff is that you use a *teeny* amount. This make-up will last me forever, and it's inexpensive! You tap a little amount in the cap of the powder, swirl your bush around, tap the excess off, and "buff" it on your face!

AND THAT'S THAT!

A child could apply this make-up. Not that children need to wear make-up. Because they don't.

First you have your foundation.
Then your "warmer" which kind of reminds me of bronzing powder.
Then your "glee" which is blush.
And then, I forget the term, but it's a final settling agent.

My starter kit came with 3 brushes, and they are top quality and feel great.

I will say that you most definitely need to have the sales-women show you how to apply the make-up, because there's a special technique to applying it. I got 5 things of make-up with 3 brushes and an instructional DVD for $39.95 at the outlet. Much cheaper than the old make-up I had been using!

I'm still in awe of how my face looks. With NO liquid make-up! It's nothing short of a miracle. Ha!

  4. Hey Shannon- wow, haven't been here in some time. Congratulations on baby girl! I thought I'd comment on here since I have the same kit too! I really like it all- and you need to know that you got a GREAT deal! I paid $54 for a starter kit- which included the DVD, 3 brushes, the brush cleaner, 2 colors of foundations (winter and summer face, hehe), the warmer and the mineral powder. That's it! I got them a year ago, and it still looks like I haven't even used them...so I'm excited to see how long they last. Only think I'm not a fan of is that it kind of settles in the cracks of wrinkles and doesn't cover undereye circles well without looking cakey. But, a well placed primer and a great concealor fixes those things well! Glad you like Bare Minerals!

  5. I've been wanting to try BM for some time now! The makeup I use is 27 bucks JUST for the powder... which is all I use anyways. But when I use other stuff...the cost! Do you have 'uneven' skin tone? If so, does it even that out some? My cheeks are generally really red, so I want something that evens my face out! Good luck with it!!
