a perfect Sunday:

The big Nor'Easter is long gone, leaving us with warmth and plenty of sunshine. M got off work today at 1230, and we headed to our favorite spot: the beach!

Because, really, what else could be more fun than going to the beach in the middle of November!?

This little beach is our favorite spot, and it's about 10 minutes from our house. There was a an abundance of sunshine with minimal people. So fun!

What a fun-filled Sunday! Piper made lots of friends and had a blast. She loves chasing waves, playing with washed-up seaweed, digging holes, and running around! She is definitely growing up (*tear!*) but we are cherishing these puppy years. I love our little family! :)

  2. Every time I look at your pictures I tell myself that Christmas can't come soon enough and that I want a camera real, real bad. I LOVE your camera. Do you edit the pictures yourself? With like the color and stuff?

  3. I only edited a few. The 2nd one from the bottom was the one I really edited. The sun was RIGHT in our face, so I *had* to adjust the coloring. And I amped up the contrast in the first picture, but that's about it! :) I still don't understand our camera. I need to take a camera class or something. There are a ton of settings. AV, MV, TV, and like 6 more. So confusing. I just fiddle with it until I get the result I want. Tricky, tricky.. Mark took almost all of these.

  4. Wow! So Piper looks like she's about half of her adult height? Maybe? From that picture? It's neat to see her next to an adult Westie! She really has grown!

  5. PS Isn't this "unseasonably" warm weather just wonderful?! It's been in the upper 60s/lower 70s here, and is going to stay in the 60s the next week and a half! So says TWC, anyway. :)

  6. Yep! Some Westies are really big, and others are smaller. I think this dude is average-sized. The female Westie next door is pretty small, and she's an adult. I think Piper will be totally average. Smaller Westies are ideal for the "perfect" dog. There's an infamous Westie that goes to our vet, and her name is Stella. She is *massive* and has to be literally lugged around. So I'm glad our little Piper is.. well, LITTLE! :)

  7. Well I just love your camera. And hopefully MY soon-to-be camera. What do you edit them in?

Sorry for all the camera questions lately, P.S. I just wanna be like you, you know =)

  8. Ohh. I guess I didn't realize there could be such a difference in sizes! Weims are generally the same. I mean, of course there are some that are bigger and some that are smaller, but the majority fall into the ideal weight category. That's neat how different breeds are, well...different.

  9. Emmy: When I upload them, I view them on our laptop, and we have Windows Vista, and you can go to "Fix" when you view a picture, and you can mess with the colors there. So, no Photoshop or anything. It's super easy. But mostly, you won't even need to edit them.

    Take this photo, for example:

That's totally untouched. Straight from the camera.

And, good grief, isn't he edible?

    :)

Britt: I know! It's very weird. I guess that size differs more in smaller breeds. Like, all Labs *seem* to be about the same size. But smaller breeds, like poodles and Maltese and stuff really vary. Pretty neat :)
