Pumpkin Seed's stash:

Wellllll, it's no secret that I love baby products. I'm sure you've seen my mommy must-haves, featured right here on Fort Cox. I can't help it -- baby products are so much fun. And it's a lot funner than being obsessed with shoes. Or Barbie dolls. Or snowglobes. Or other things that people like to buy.

Just sayin.

So you must know that Pumpkin Seed already has some things. Right? Well, (s)he does:

This is our consignment collection. Minus the Kicky Pants gown (polka dot gown in the center) and the camera onesie (free from MckMama).. oh, and the striped blue shirt on the right (Gap for only $2), the rest is consignment! We got the orange striped onesie for only 39 cents! And, okay, all of it looks boyish. But I don't care. If you think I wouldn't dare to put my daughter in something blue, you're crazy!

Mark has the exact same shirt from Gap, and I have a matching Gap cardigan, so when we saw a matching baby shirt for $2, we had to get it! If Pumpkin Seed is a girl, I'll be shipping it to my third nephew. No problemo!

and I forgot to take a photo of our sock monkey outfit:

Teeeeeeny tiny obsession with sock monkeys going on over here! Again, I'll be giving this to my sweet muchkin, G, if Pumpkin is a girl. (and I know my sister loves sock monkeys!)

Things I just couldn't pass up! I'm a huge Eric Carle fan.. especially The Very Hungry Caterpillar!! His toys are just TOO cute, and I love all the sensory features! And when I saw Sophie the Giraffe (sigh.... ) I couldn't pass it up. Isn't she adorable?! Cutest teether on the planet, I'm sure of it! I got the Binky Buddy at a luxury stroller store. It's the neatest little contraption. You hook a passy in a part of it, and you use it in the car seat. The car seat straps hold the Binky Buddy in place. So, if your baby spits out the passy, the Binky Buddy holds it right to their face.. so your newborn won't drop their passy! Genius!

One of the Thirsties All-In-One cloth diapers I got for 50% off. There are no inserts, so you just wash and dry the whole thing. Super, super cute, and they get wonderful reviews. Pretty darn sure that we'll be using gDiapers, but I'm definitely not opposed to having different types. Especially because this is the closest thing to a disposable, and it's the easiest cloth diaper on the market.

My free Miracle Blanket. I'll be totally unashamed to wrap up my son (if I have one) in a pink blanket. Especially because it was free!

Our nursery chair with two blankets. Both are SUPER soft. I love them both... especially the sock monkey one! It's so vibrant and colorful.

Annnnd finally, the first glimpse of our baby bedding. Hudson generously gave us his old bedding -- he already moved into his big boy bed at 1 1/2! He's so grown up. Pumpkin has two wonderful cousins :) Anyway, this is the blanket that goes with the bedding. I'm not photographing it all, because that would be annoying -- but here's a sample!

Don't be fooled -- I've really held back from buying all the things I want to buy. Right now, I'm itching to buy the diaper bag of my dreams (Go GaGa slide tote).

Aren't baby products FUN!?

  2. Sock monkey onesie is sooo sweet!
I think the sock monkeys would look cute on a girl too!
All these precious little products almost make me wish I had a baby. Almost. We gotta get through some other things first (ie, wedding) and then we'll talk! LOL!
Have fun shopping for more things for your PUNKIN!

  4. Go with me on this one. You could still use the orange striped onesie if she's a girl :) Orange is totally a neutral color. Match it with blue? Boy color. Match it with bright pink? girl. I'm imagining it right now.

  5. Exactly, Teeny! You can feminize anything! All you have to do is add pink tights (it'll be cold) or a bow or something. My mama dressed me in blue when I was a baby! :) Well, not ALL blue, obviously.. I had plennnnnty of dresses and girly clothes, but I also had blue sleepers and things :)

  6. Have you washed your AllyZabba yet? I'm sooo afraid to wash it in my mom's washer because it has no "gentle" setting. :( The next time we go to Chris' parents' I'm going to bum their front-load.

  7. Nope, I'll just wait until like September and wash everything together when I have all my clothes and everything! :) We have a delicate setting.. I hope that's good enough! Or I guess I could hand wash it.

  8. Shannon, you are pretty stocked for now aren't you? I'm impressed! I caught myself looking up free baby things online the other night, but I don't want them sent to my inlaws house, so I'm holding out til we get to Mo. I don't have anything right now. You make me feel behind. lol! Even though I know I'm not. I can't wait to start buying things though. The day Matthew tells me I can start buying. Oh I feel pitty for the person with me. I'm going to go crazy! I know all the things I want to buy. But, gosh... I'm going to spend til I can't spend anymore. lol! Keep on posting about your pumpkin seed. I call mine the jumping bean... lol!
