random!

What does one do on a hot August day? Oh, right, make salsa. I didn't take any pictures, against Christine's will, because I'm lazy. And I was rushing to get it together while Piper slept. And I was at my wit's end. Ahem.

But it turned out yummy and great. Here's how it goes:

1 avocado
1 can Ro-Tel with lime & cilantro (drained!)
1 large tomato, diced (take out the seeds!)
some cilantro (eyeball it)
some onion (eyeball it)
1 jalapeno
some Adobo seasoning
the juce of 1/2 a lemon
salt
pepper


Pretty scrumptious. In case you hate avocados, don't worry! You can't even taste the avocado. It's hidden nicely amidst all the yummy tomatoes - and you'll still be getting the good avocadoey fats! And you won't even know it!! I recommend dipping lots of yummy chips in it, partnered with some coke, and possibly with a little Secret Life of the American Teenager. But that's just my suggestion.

But this blog post couldn't be complete without pictures of my adorable big nephew, who sung to me "Build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ" on the way home from school today. It was really the most precious thing I've ever seen him do.
