As I previously mentioned, our 1-year anniversary is coming up! For fun, I created this little survey to reflect our first year of marriage! We both answered these questions privately -- it was so funny to see our responses!
Shannon's Answers:
1. Our favorite thing to do for fun is: drive around town and go to the mall, Target, and stop at a restaurant!
2: The best decision we ever made was to: get Piper, the love of our life!
3: On a Friday night, we can be found: maybe going to the mall.. if not, sitting at home watching tv. We're wild!
4. The best part of our wedding was: Seeing each other for the first time
5. What is your spouses' favorite food? steak! (mine is hashbrown casserole)
6. The worst thing about living in Virginia is: lots of traffic and interstates
7. The best thing we've done this year is: surprise everyone by going home for Thanksgiving
8. The worst thing that happened this year was: him leaving for BMT
9. An ideal date night would include: going to the Cinema Cafe and loading up on nachos and wings!
10. My dream base is definitely: Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, Tennessee! but I know Mark will say Ramstein AFB in Germany...
Mark's Answers:
1. Our favorite thing to do for fun is: we like to snuggle
2: The best decision we ever made was to: get married and move off
3: On a Friday night, we can be found:at home prolly watching a movie
4. The best part of our wedding was: seeing each other for the first time
5. What is your spouses' favorite food? hashbrown casserole (mine is pizza)
6. The worst thing about living in Virginia is: the weather
7. The best thing we've done this year is: moving into our home and settling in

Steak really is his favorite food. He just "forgot." And I really do rank getting married higher on the list than getting Piper.. but we decided in 2008 to get married.. so I didn't count that ;]
I promise that a real deal anniversary post will be coming up on our real deal first anniversary. Sadly, the top of our cake is in my grandma's freezer in Kentucky, so we'll just be eating something waaaaaay better.
Has anyone figured out where we're going for our anniversary? The 1535 degree vessel?
If I've told you, don't tell ... but any guesses?!

Hehe, this was fun to read!
ReplyDeleteDid you really plan on eating the top of your cake? I've heard it is SO nasty. Yuck. Freezer burn.
yes, of course! It's yummy tradition. Plus, we made the top of the cake chocolate JUST for Mark and the rest of it red velvet (he likes both really, but chocolate is his ultimate fav).. but now, when we go back next time, we'll just eat it then :] And when that day comes, I'll be sure to take pics and blog about it!! :D :D hehe
ReplyDeleteMy sister said there's was gross. I think we'll just save some of the top of our cake, and then eat most of the cake on our honeymoon. That sounds like a better deal to me. =)
ReplyDeleteBut in non-cake related news, this is SOOO cute. I love it. =)
That was cute! =]
ReplyDeleteWe were planning on saving the top of our cake but then the cake lady said she would just make us a new one just like it for our 1 year. But then we move to Arizona and she was in CA so it became to hard. I'm still pretty bummed about that. :/
the cake isn't that bad but it wasnt really good either..lol...oh and I can't figure out this 1535 degree vessel thing and it's diving me crazy lol!
ReplyDeletearen't you going to melting pot? the top of our cake was really good - maybe you can eat it for your 1 1/2 anniversary when you're home this summer!
