our little Simba

Today I ran out in my backyard in my pajama pants (cropped out) and held Piper up to the sky.

And it occurred to me: I think we have a thing for holding our puppy up like Simba from The Lion King.

Photobucket

It started off innocently enough
when she was a wee pup at
8
weeks
of
age.
I held her right to my face and
fell straight in love with my new puppy:

At ten weeks of age, she was a little bit
bigger,
stronger,
and so much more fun to hold up in the air!

I couldn't get enough of her.
She became my make-shift child.
And, if you could ask her if she loves it,
she'd say
"Ruff, of COURSE!"

(translation: but of course!)

We moved to the beach.
And when we threw her up in the air,
she got a better view of the pretty ocean.

Trips to the park wouldn't be complete
without throwing her
high
to
the
sky:

Sure. We may resemble Rafiki with baby Simba,
but...

She really is our pride and joy.

*snicker, snicker, snort*

get it? Pride? Like, in the Lion King? Yeah? No?

  2. That is so cute! And I can't believe how much Piper has grown. I hadn't realized until you posted those other pictures of her when she was smaller. Adorable! :-)
