all worked out.

In 1 month, I'll be a college graduate.

Woah Woah Woah.

How did that happen!?

Well... I changed my major yesterday to an entirely different department: Interdisciplinary Studies. With an emphasis in education (although I'm pretty darn sure that I could have an emphasis in science if I wanted to, as well...).

Obviously, I won't be earning the degree that I intended. I could just transfer to Old Dominion and continue working on my undergrad. But that's insane. Their program is nothing like WKU's. I'd be backtracking and re-doing classes I've already had.

This way, I can start on my Masters degree asap! I'm sticking with Old Dominion, and I'll either get my masters in Special Education OR Early Childhood Education. I have no idea which one I'll choose. Really. They're tied right now in my world. I love little kids. But I'm pretty sure a SPED Masters would serve me better around the world.

... I wish I could get both. No, really. I do.

On the plus side, I'm 99.9% sure that I'll be walking the line in May. As in, actually BE in the graduation! Shocking. This whole marriage/military/school/long-distance thing has worked out perfectly. It's really crazy. Things just keep getting better. And better. And better.

Admittance into the programs seems easy peasy. I've taken the ACT & I'm good to go! I just need to write a 400-500 word essay on why I should be admitted. I love essays. Again, good to go!

I'm still waiting on "official" word that I may be in the graduation next month, but the lady at WKU seems fully confident that I will! I can't believe I actually made it out in 4 years. Technically, I'm "over" the limit for hours in 1 area. Oops. That's what I get for 18 hours each semester PLUS summer school. Drat. The Dean will excuse my over-achieveness though!

I'll keep ya posted on which Masters degree I choose. Oooooh, how exciting!
